Marshalls of Balance
World: Destoria
City/Place: Crystal City
Purpose: Oversees supernaturals, protects human citizens, monitors
portals in Destoria, neutralizes potential threats to humanity
Founders: Lea and Lye Sullivan
President: Currently an NPC, but you may
apply to be the president of this company!
Associations: Axium
The M.O.B was originally created to protect the human citizens and detain any supernatural creatures that presented a threat towards humankind. On the surface, this is exactly what the organization was meant to be. However, in the shadow of his superiors, Sean Barker, a scientist of the M.O.B. harbored plans of his own. With the supernaturals that the M.O.B were able to capture, he conducted cruel experiments to test their powers, weaknesses, and durability. He searched for ways to control them. To weaponize them. Lea Sullivan noticed his plotting and prepared to exile the lunatic, but Barker wasn't going down without a fight. After the collapse of the portal and the resulting disruption of space and time, the M.O.B had actually been making progress towards integrating supernaturals into human society. Barker wanted to change things, but had been thwarted left and right by the Sullivan twins. It seemed like a stroke of luck on his end when the twins fell at the hands of a rouge supernatural, but there were some who had their suspicions. After their passing, the organization's future was up in the air. Neither of the Sullivan twins had any children, dedicating their entire lives to their beliefs and cause. Without someone to lead them, the M.O.B would have difficulty functioning. Thus, a temporary president was appointed and is to run M.O.B and all associated parties for the foreseeable future, until a suitable president can be determined or the company is bought out. Currently, Barker has managed to persuade many in the M.O.B to see things his way, and although the company does indeed fight to protect humanity, they do not always have the best interest of supernaturals at heart, even with the fact that many supernatural beings work and fight alongside their human brethren.
The M.O.B has a main force stationed within Crystal City, where one of their many bases can be found, surrounded by electric fences, strong walls and guarded by supernatural forces. It is here in Crystal City where an oversized portal often dumps lost or wandering supernaturals, leaving them confused and overwhelmed. In most cases, a supernatural left to deal with their new surroundings and the culture shock on their own can pose a danger to human life. As such, it is the job of the M.O.B to intercept and assist them - or if the individual refuses to see reason, take them into custody. Only in extreme cases are members of the organization allowed to use lethal force, but as stated previously, not everyone follows these rules.
